Lisa Stowers, escrow officer at Yavapai Title Agency’s Junction branch, has joined the board of directors for the Prescott Area Habitat for Humanity.
Stowers has been with Yavapai Title for 18 years and is responsible for managing escrow associates, completing real estate escrow transactions, clearing titles, disbursing funds and preparing, reviewing and closing documents.
It is through these transactions that Stowers connected with Habitat for Humanity, the organization dedicated to providing housing for low-income families.
“I have been handling the escrow on these properties for the last seven years,” said Stowers. “Eventually I formed a very close relationship with the executive director and she herself asked me to join the board.”
Stowers will be participating in the organizations fundraising efforts and she eventually hopes to join the family selection committee.
