Yavapai Title Agency is asking for members of the community to join them in support of the Harvest for the Hungry Food Drive on Wednesday, Oct. 8. All Fry’s Food Stores in Prescott, Prescott Valley, Cottonwood and Flagstaff will be collecting nonperishable food items to restock Northern Arizona food banks in preparation for winter. The donations will stay within the communities where they are collected.
This is a difficult time of the year for food banks to stay stocked. Every week, Yavapai Food Bank serves around 160-175 people. This equals to nearly 50,000 pounds of food distributed weekly. With a large increase in demand for food paired with a slowdown of donations during this time of the year, Yavapai Title Agency hopes to offset those factors by sponsoring and supporting this drive.
So, stop by your local Fry’s Food Store on Wednesday, Oct. 8 with a nonperishable donation to help support the local food banks for the upcoming winter.
